Check compatibility before ordering

This controller wires to the terminals your existing wall button uses, so it works with most openers that have a standard wired wall control.

It is not compatible with every opener. Some newer units use encrypted or proprietary wall controls that do not accept a third-party connection. Before ordering, check whether your opener has a simple two-wire wall button, and look up your opener's make and model if you are unsure. If you tell us the model we will check for you.

Installation

Fitting involves working at the opener unit near the ceiling and connecting two wires to the wall control terminals. It is straightforward for anyone comfortable on a ladder with a screwdriver, but it is not adhesive-mount simple. Disconnect power at the breaker before you start.

Good to know

Requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network that reaches your garage. Worth testing signal strength there first, as detached garages and metal doors often have weak coverage.
